Getting to the studio and getting around

Updated on Thursday 8 October 2026

Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx is a village about 20 minutes' drive north-east of Bayonne, in the south-west corner of France. It is easy to reach by plane, train or car. Here is how to get to the studio and how to get around once you are here.

By plane: Biarritz airport

Biarritz Pays Basque airport, located in Anglet, is the closest: about 18 km from the studio. It has flights from Paris and several French and European cities; destinations vary with the season.

From the airport:

  • hire car: about 30 minutes to the studio;
  • taxi or ride-hailing: about 30 minutes, best booked in advance;
  • bus: Txik Txak line 3 runs from the airport to Bayonne station, where line 24 continues to Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx (see below). Allow at least an hour including the change, and note that line 24 does not run on Sundays.

Another option is Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, with more international flights, just over two hours' drive away on the A63.

By train: Bayonne station

Bayonne station has direct high-speed TGV trains from Paris-Montparnasse (about 4 hours) and regional TER trains (Bordeaux, Dax, Hendaye, Pau). It is about 11 km from the studio, around 20 minutes by car or taxi.

By bus, line 24 leaves from the "Gare de Bayonne" stop and reaches the centre of Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx in about 25 minutes.

By car

The studio is about ten minutes from the A63 motorway (Bordeaux – Spain), via exit 7 (Ondres). French motorways have tolls.

A free parking space is waiting for you in front of the studio.
